Charles Kazlauskas: van Milwaukee naar Helmond

Bijna achttien jaar was hij, toen hij in de zomer van 2000 arriveerde in Nederland. Charles Kazlauskas uit Milwaukee, Wisconsin, had een bijna on-Amerikaans voetbaltalent en dankzij het netwerk van zijn zus kwam hij terecht bij het Nijmeegse NEC. De voetbalcarrière bracht niet wat hij had gehoopt: in plaats van de stapjes omhoog speelt Kazlauskas sinds 2009 in betrekkelijke anonimiteit bij Helmond Sport.
